They have minds and plans of their own. I'm due on December 10th, but thought I may have been in labor a few weeks ago. My contractions were 12 minutes apart all day. I was only 34 weeks. We all decided I needed to take it easy for a bit to make sure the baby stayed in for a bit longer. I'm officially 37 weeks tomorrow. Yay! My contractions are still going. Sometimes they're close together and other times they're inconsistent through out the day. I'm starting to think this baby is going to be a handful. He's already keeping me on my toes!Their are a few good things that have come from these contractions. I know I'm getting closer to meeting my little boy!! My body is gearing up for the big day and how could that not be exciting!!? I also get the treat of my mom being here! She lives in California with my dad and brothers. It's been great having her around to help and I've loved the time we're getting to spend together! My kids might love it the most! They "patiently" wait until I tell them they can wake her up in the morning. She's here to help, not be tortured, so I make sure the boys wait until at least seven! Then they run in and wake her up, "Grandma, it's time to get up!"Then we spend the rest of the day playing, trying to stay warm (it's freezing here!), talking about baby Lucas, and of course you need to add in some mother-daughter time. I'm getting very eager and impatient to meet my newest little boy, but I'm having a great time waiting with family!

What did you do the last few weeks as you awaited your new arrival?
