One Tip For A Life With Kids In Sports And Lessons

One Tip For A Life With Kids In Sports And Lessons

**This post is sponsored by Hoffman Academy**

As a parent, you're always looking for ways to keep your kids involved with kids their own age, be entertained, and learn new skills. While they're younger most of your energy is spent keeping them from putting toys in the toilet or drawing all over your new books. Then they get a little older and things really start to get fun. Now, they can start to join sports, get lessons for different instruments, and you can start to see where their passions take them. If you're like me, you might be a little terrified of this stage. I have three kids under five. I don't know what I'm going to do when they're all involved in different things and I have to figure out how to get them everywhere on time, make sure I go to most of their practices, and then help them practice at home...It will be amazing to watch the fruit of all their hard work. It's the road to get their that worries me. Especially with so many on the same road going in different directions! Every time I talk to families who are in that season of life, they tell me to enjoy my time before because things get crazy!

Are your kids currently involved in sports or getting lessons for an instrument? What's your tip?

The biggest tip I've received is to start slow. At five years old, your child doesn't need to be doing three sports and be getting lessons for two different instruments. Take it slow and let them try it all. It will help you to acclimate to your new schedules, teach your kids discipline, and not get overwhelmed! One way to start slow or to keep an already hectic schedule a little more simple is to include an online lesson. Online lessons are great because they give you the flexibility you need, while teaching your child everything they need to know. If you're looking to get your child lessons for an instrument, I have just the thing for you! Hoffman Academy is an ONLINE piano lesson. Yes, I said it. Online. We've used it for our son Liam before and he loved it! Joseph doesn't just offer lessons, he turns it all into a game! While your kids are learning the foundations of piano, they think their playing a game! He makes it fun so they want to learn!blogphotos-josephRight now, Mr. Hoffman has 120 piano video lessons online. He wants to double that number in the next 16 months, then continue to make more. His ultimate goal is to make Hoffman Academy a complete piano learning program, so that a student who completes all the lessons would be ready to major in music at any university and become a professional musician. blogphotos-mockupsThe Hoffman Academy team is also working on building a new, interactive, subscription-based website that will include music learning games and online progress tracking. Video lessons alone can't give personalized feedback, but the new Hoffman Academy will be able to guide students through developing their skills in rhythm, staff reading, music theory, and ear training, and make learning the piano even more fun and engaging. In order to fund these projects, Mr. Hoffman is running a Kickstarter campaign through the month of February. Campaign backers can try out the new Hoffman Academy premium subscription for themselves at a great discount. Or, you can contribute to our campaign and fund a Hoffman Academy premium subscription scholarship for a child in need. Come on over and check it out!Are you interested in trying out Hoffman Academy for your kids? Check it out here and don't forget to contribute towards their Kickstarter campaign so you can see even more songs and more interactive ways to teach YOUR children!blogphoto-banner3
